Why A Brand New Day Co.

You might be wondering: Why A Brand New Day Co.? What it means? How does it connect to marketing…and even poetry?

While the business itself was born out of the hardest and most transformative moments of my life — becoming a mother. The name however came to me back in 2020, when I first began really dreaming of having my own business. At that time, I didn’t yet know what form it would take — only that I wanted to build something rooted in creativity, authenticity and storytelling that would build my legacy.

The birth of a mother

In 2023, my daughter was born in a way I could never have imagined. Birth, even in the smoothest of circumstances, is already pretty traumatic. But mine was compounded with unexpected complications that left me shaken and changed forever.

Motherhood altered everything: my perspective on life, love, work, family, and myself. Before, I was climbing the corporate ladder, fueled by dreams of becoming the next VP of Marketing for a brand rooted in philanthropic missions like Patagonia, REI, or Warby Parker — a company that blended commerce with cause. But almost overnight, my ambitions shifted. Or maybe, they refocused.

Wrestling with change

During maternity leave, while quietly battling undiagnosed postpartum anxiety and depression, I found myself questioning everything. Could I go back to corporate? Could I be both a present mother and a high-achieving professional?

I saw examples of women who did both, but what no one admitted was that when you’re winning in one area, something else often suffers.

I had always dreamed of starting my own business. But as the end of my leave loomed, I struggled: return to corporate for stability, or leap into the unknown when you have much more riding on it?

So I went back. And for six months, I faked it. I worked hard, cried harder and felt like I was being torn into tiny pieces with every daycare drop off.

Breaking and breakthroughs

By the time my daughter turned one, I wasn’t okay. Therapy was helping me process my trauma, but my inner world was unraveling. I was terrified of my own thoughts, paralyzed by burnout and afraid of what admitting it might mean.

And then my therapist said the words I had been desperate to hear: “I’m worried about you.”

That moment cracked something open. For the first time, I allowed myself to stop pretending. I got the help I needed and I was forced to pause. I finally was able to exhale and shed the weight of the world on my shoulders. I walked. I laughed. I connected with nature. I began to feel like myself again.

In those weeks, I realized I didn’t want to just survive life. I wanted to live it fully.

Choosing myself and letting go of perfection

When more restructuring hit my job, I took it as the sign I needed. Leaving corporate felt like a weight lifted off my shoulders.

That’s when I decided to pursue myself — to build something of my own, something rooted in creativity, connection and meaning. And so, A Brand New Day Co. was created. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes.

Storytelling in my DNA

Storytelling has always been part of me. Since childhood I have written and created to make sense of the world. In 2020, during the pandemic, I began sharing my poetry publicly and realized how deeply storytelling connects us — to ourselves, to others and to the world.

So when I thought about what kind of business I wanted to create, the answer was clear: one that helps others tell their stories with clarity, creativity and heart.

What I do today

At A Brand New Day Co., I help small businesses, nonprofits and entrepreneurs bring their stories to life through:

  • Brand storytelling & identity – uncovering your voice, vision and values so your brand feels like you.

  • Website design – creating websites that are not only beautiful but strategic, so your message reaches the right people.

  • Social media & content marketing support – building intentional strategies that feel human and connect authentically with your audience.

It’s not just about marketing. It’s about telling stories that move people, create connection, and leave a legacy.

A Brand New Day

The name is both a promise and a reminder. Every day, we get the chance to begin again. To heal. To choose differently. To create something new.

For me, A Brand New Day Co. isn’t just a business. It’s the legacy I want to build — for my daughter, for my family, and for the people I get to serve. It’s also a constant reminder that you can chase your dreams and believe in yourself, and when you do, incredible things start to happen.

Because life is too short to live in survival mode. It’s meant to be lived.
